On foot and by bike

Punta Prima is flat and compact: the beach is four minutes from the villa, Carrefour five, Lidl nine. The coastal path runs north to Torrevieja’s promenade and south to Cabo Roig. Cycling is pleasant along the coast and around the lagoons; the N-332 itself is not for bikes. Hire bikes and e-bikes are available in Torrevieja and La Zenia.

Buses

Coastal bus: the service along the N-332 between Torrevieja and Cabo Roig stops at Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia Boulevard and Cabo Roig roughly hourly, more in summer; the cheapest way into town. Urban buses: Torrevieja relaunched its town network in 2026 with more lines, covering the centre, the beaches, the hospital and La Mata (Line A along the seafront is the useful one). Regional: from Torrevieja bus station, services to Alicante (hourly, about an hour), Murcia, Cartagena, Orihuela, Elche and Alicante airport. Timetables are on the operators’ sites and change seasonally; Sundays are thin.

Taxis

Ranks at Torrevieja bus station, the seafront and La Zenia Boulevard; otherwise phone or use a ride app. Punta Prima to Torrevieja centre is about €10 to €15, to La Zenia Boulevard €8 to €10, to Alicante airport €70 to €85. Metered, cards usually accepted, child seats not guaranteed.

Car hire and parking

Collect at the airport for the week (cheapest and simplest), or hire locally for a day or two from Torrevieja or La Zenia agencies. Parking at the villa is inside the gate. In Torrevieja centre, the underground car parks by the harbour and the Mercado are the easy option; street parking is free but full in August. Blue zones are pay-and-display 9:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00 on weekdays. Beaches outside town, La Mata, Campoamor and Guardamar, have free car parks.
