Alicante-Elche (ALC) is 50 km north of Punta Prima: 45 minutes by road with no traffic, an hour on a Saturday changeover in August. Four ways to do it, from €8 to €90.
Walk out of arrivals and the rank is in front of you. Fares to Torrevieja and Punta Prima are regulated and metered, roughly €70 to €85 depending on the time and luggage, 45 minutes door to door. Most taxis take cards. A minivan for six with luggage is the same system, slightly more. No need to book; queues move fast.
Booked online before you fly, a driver with your name meets you in the hall, child seats included on request. €60 to €80 for a car, €80 to €110 for a minibus, fixed and prepaid, which is the calm option at midnight with children. Local Torrevieja firms are as reliable as the international aggregators and often cheaper on the return leg.
The direct airport bus to Torrevieja leaves from the stop on the departures level (follow signs for buses, level 2), roughly every hour from early morning to late evening, about €7 to €9 one way, tickets from the driver or online. It takes about an hour and stops at Torrevieja bus station on Calle Ramón Gallud; from there a taxi to Punta Prima is 10 minutes and about €15, or the coastal bus along the N-332 stops near the villa. Check the current timetable: services thin out in winter and on Sundays.
For a week, a small car costs less than two taxi rides and opens up the day trips, La Zenia Boulevard and the pink lake. The route is simple: A-70 then AP-7 south (toll-free on this stretch) to exit 758 for Torrevieja south / Orihuela Costa, then the N-332 to Punta Prima; or the slower N-332 all the way along the coast. Book early for July and August, take the full-cover option, and photograph the car before you drive off. There is parking inside the gate at the villa.
Check-in is from 12:00. If your flight lands earlier, the beach is four minutes away and the restaurant on it does breakfast; leave luggage in the car. Carrefour Express on Avenida de California is open until late for the first shop. Your check-in e-mail on the morning of arrival has the key handover details and the host’s WhatsApp.
