What winter is like here

December to February bring crisp sunny mornings, afternoons warm enough to eat lunch outside under the portico, and evenings that want a jumper. Rain comes in short bursts, rarely for a whole day. The sea is for the brave, but the beach walks are glorious and empty. Our month-by-month weather guide has the numbers, and Torrevieja in winter covers what stays open.

Set up for a long stay

  • Airzone air conditioning works as heating, zone by zone, so you heat the rooms you use.
  • Fibre Wi-Fi, a proper table for a laptop, and quiet neighbours: remote work is realistic.
  • Washing machine, laundry room, dishwasher, full oven. Carrefour Express 5 minutes, Lidl 9, Mercadona 4 minutes by car.
  • Farmacia Punta Prima 7 minutes on foot; Torrevieja hospital 15 minutes by car with English-speaking staff.
  • Parking inside the gate for your own or a hire car.

Contracts and pricing, plainly

Under Valencian rules a stay over ten nights to the same guests is a seasonal let rather than a tourist stay, so for stays over a month the host issues a simple seasonal contract. Monthly prices are far below the summer nightly rate and include Wi-Fi; utilities are metered for long stays because winter heating use varies so much. Tell us your dates and we will quote.
