Playa Flamenca: the beach, the Saturday market and the promenade, 20 minutes on foot from Punta Prima
Playa Flamenca is the next resort south of Punta Prima: a Blue Flag beach with a promenade, a big Saturday market, the nearest Mercadona, and the start of the busiest stretch of the Orihuela Costa. A 20-minute clifftop walk or four minutes by car.

In short
Blue Flag sandy beach with showers, lifeguards, playgrounds and a promenade of bars and restaurants.
Saturday morning market, the biggest on the Orihuela Costa.
Mercadona, Consum and the commercial centres on the N-332 for a big shop.
The coastal path continues south to La Zenia, Cala Capitán and Cabo Roig.
The beach
A sandy bay below a low cliff, with steps and ramps down from the promenade, a chiringuito, showers, lifeguards in season and a children’s play area. A small cove, Cala Mosca, sits just south before La Zenia. Water is a touch more open than Punta Prima’s, so flags matter on windy days.
Saturday market and shops
Every Saturday morning the streets behind the beach fill with stalls, mostly clothes, shoes, leather, beach gear and household goods, with fruit and vegetables at one end. Go by 10:00, park on the N-332 side, bring cash. For normal shopping, Mercadona on Calle Gerardo Rueda is the nearest big Spanish supermarket to the villa (4 minutes by car), and the commercial centres on the main road have everything from hardware to hairdressers.
The walk from Punta Prima
From the villa, follow the coast path south from Punta Prima beach along the clifftop: about 20 minutes with sea views the whole way, steps at a couple of points. Carry on past Playa Flamenca and you reach La Zenia beach, Cala Capitán and Cabo Roig in another hour. All the beaches.
Staying at Casa Fragata? The villa is at Punta Prima, 280 m from the beach, with La Zenia Boulevard five minutes by car. Check availability.
